In 2021, Ndiphiwe joined the firm’s Public Risk, Governance, and Compliance Practice. Prior to that, he held various positions within the Transnet Legal Department at Transnet SOC Limited. From 2014 to 2020, he served as Group Executive: Legal and Compliance. His duties included, among others, providing support to the Board of Directors, the Executive Committee, and the various Operating Divisions and Business Units within Transnet, and offering strategic direction on Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Governance-related matters. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing and managing the Transnet Legal functions, the Group Legal budget, internal and external stakeholders, the implementation of company policies and strategy, and the effective management of legal risks. 

Ndiphiwe was admitted as an attorney in 1994 and practised in the Eastern Cape and Western Cape until 2008. Before leaving practice to join Transnet, he was a Director at Smith Tabata Buchanan Boyes in Cape Town, working in their litigation department, having previously practised on his own. 

His key competencies are in Litigation, Administrative and Public Law, Compliance, Risk, and Governance.
